Pistachio crusted brie
The most indulgent way to enjoy Brie these holidays !
If you love Brie cheese and want to make an easy, tasty and impressive appetiser you need to try these pistachio crusted ones! The pistachio makes the coating extra crispy and flavourful which is the perfect contrast with the melted, gooey Brie inside 💯 They are so quick and easy to make as they only take about 40 seconds until they turn crunchy and golden brown.
This fried brie makes for the perfect holiday or dinner appetizer. I love serving it with a chilli chutney, cranberry sauce or a good drizzle of honey. So good!

🌾GF option
🍽️ 4 portions
Ingredients
50g panko (can use GF)
25g pistachio, shelled
1 large egg
50 g plain flour
1 small wheel of brie cheese
Olive oil
Method
Blitz the pistachios in a blender or food processor until obtaining a fine powder, be careful not to over blend as otherwise you will get pistachio butter instead.
In a bowl mix the panko, pistachio and 1 tsp of salt.
Cut the brie cheese into cubes and bread it by sequentially coating it in the flour, then beaten egg and finally the pistachio panko. Transfer to a tray and then freeze for 20 min.
Fry the brie cubes by heating olive oil in a frying pan (make sure it is at least 3cm high) and then adding the brie cubes to the hot oil and cooking for 1min on each side until golden. Make sure you don’t leave the brie for too long otherwise it will melt too much and break through the breading.
Once cooked, transfer the brie bites to a kitchen paper to remove excess oil and serve immediately.
FAQS and Tips
