A great twist on a classic cheesy garlic bread recipe

Everyone loves a good garlic bread recipe so I’ve added my own twist by incorporating harissa into the mix. It adds a great spicy kick that brings the cheesy garlic bread to a whole new level 🔥

Ingredients

  • 100g butter, room temperature

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp harissa paste

  • Bunch of fresh parsley, chopped

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 300g shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 40g Parmesan, grated

  • 1 large bread loaf (can use GF)

Method

  • Add the butter, garlic , harissa, parsley, salt and pepper to a bowl and mix well with a spoon until it’s all evenly combined

  • Cut your bread loaf in half and spread with the harissa butter. Top with as much shredded mozzarella and parmesan as you want. Transfer to a baking pan covered with parchment paper

  • Bake at 180C until the cheese has melted and become golden brown (about 10-15 min)

  • Serve warm (I topped with some chopped fresh parsley in the end)

FAQS and Tips

  • Gochujang also works very well if you want to substitute it with the harissa

  • My favourite kind of bread to use is a good sourdough but a French baguette of ciabatta also work very well 👌
