Hot Honey Burrata toast

One for the burrata obsessed (like me!)

Burrata toast is hands down one of my favourites lazy and easy dinners after a long day at work! Burrata is so creamy and in this case elevated by the sweet spicy contrast of the hot honey. And since I am a garlic girl, I am making a roasted garlic miso paste for spreading the bread and adding that addictive umami flavour.

🍯Ingredients

  • 1 garlic head

  • Olive oil

  • 1/2 tbsp miso paste

  • 2 toasts

  • 2 small burrata

  • 1 tsp chilli flakes

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 sourdough slice (can be GF)

🍯Method

  • Cut the top of the garlic head, drizzle with olive oil and wrap in tin foil. Bake in the oven at 180C until soft for around 30 minutes

  • Peel the garlic cloves and mash with a fork in a bowl with the miso paste

  • Make the hot honey by heating the honey for 10-20 seconds in the microwave and then mixing with the chilli flakes

  • Toast your bread, spread the miso garlic and finally top with the burrata and hot honey

FAQS and Tips

  • I cannot find burrata in the supermarket. You can actually make your own burrata like cheese by shredding a mozzarella bowl with heavy cream in a bowl and leave it to rest for 30 minutes in the fridge
